Karina the Karate Kid!

Back in January we started Karina in Karate and we had no idea she would be such a natural! Corey did Karate for several years and he wanted her to give it try so that she would learn some self defense moves but more importantly to learn life lessons that this form of Karate teaches: Focus Your Mind, Control Your Body and Try Your Best. She immediately loved it and our once shy little girl, busted out of her shell! She tested for her first two stripes within 4 months which usually takes 8 months and by 8 months she tested for her third stripe on her belt and got promoted to the next class, no more "Little Dragons" for my lean-mean-butt-kickin-machine, she is now a "Dragon" with a Red Stripe! Her teacher calls her the "Little Power House", of course she is one of the smallest in the class but she has proved that size definately doesn't matter!
