Back in May we had Elijah Dedicated. As Christian's, rather than baptize our babies, we have them "Dedicated" or "Blessed" by our Pastor and when they are older and choose to, then they are baptized once they understand it's true meaning.
We go to The Dream Center/Angelus Temple in Los Angeles. It is a huge outreach church that impacts the community on a daily basis. They take in homeless families, rehabilitate drug addicts, save families from being separated by the State due to poverty, feed tens of thousands of people monthly and pretty much help people who are not in the position to help themselves. My best friend Caroline and her husband Matthew are the Pastors of our amazing church. Every week we are challenged by Pastor Matthews sermons and also entertained - he's HILARIOUS, so it makes going to church every week very easy and something we feel like we need to get us through the next week of our crazy and busy lives.
Of course having our baby Dedicated is a special day but having my best friend of the past 20 years be the one to hold him and pray a blessing over him meant so much to us. Caroline and Matthew love our kids so much and are so supportive of us that we loved having them share this special moment with us.
