What happened waaaay back in September besides Elijah's birth?
KARINA STARTED KINDERGARTEN!!!
We chose to send her to a private school instead of public because we wanted her to continue the faith-based education that she started in pre-school. We love that there is only 24 kids in her class and her teacher has 2 aides. They go to Chapel once a week and their daily lesson plans include faith based principals which is most important to us. Of course they teach about Jesus and encourage the children to develop their own personal relationship with him but they also focus on being a good friend, respecting eachother, sharing, doing the right thing even if no one is watching, being a good helper and so many more life lessons that will stick with her as she becomes a young woman (hopefully!)
Besides becoming a kindergartener, Karina accepted her role as a big sister with pride! She was the best helper, we are so thankful for no jealousy issues! The only thing we dealt with was boredom since we weren't leaving the house very often but I had my best friend Caroline and my cousin Michelle who would come over and whisk her away to play for days at a time (literally!) We packed her schedule with lots of fun playdates and sleepovers so she wouldn't resent this new little boy that put all fun on hold.
